Counselling for Anxiety

My name is Lynne Cole, a fully qualified and licensed therapist offering counselling for anxiety in Wakefield. I have decades of experience in helping people with anxiety. Below are just some of the qualifications that enable me to safely and effectively use therapy and counselling to help with anxiety;

Depression and anxiety are the most common mental health issues in the UK and likely to happen to one in four of us over our lifetimes. It pushes into our life, uninvited, in a variety of forms in changeable degrees. Feelings of low mood, the inability to get out of bed, stressors and feelings of burnout are a signal that something is wrong in your current situation or the way you are dealing with it. Other people can function like they continually do, but things feel different and maybe cloudy for no obvious reason.

When you are in a depressed state you can experience a myriad of symptoms.

Life happens and it changes things: our circumstances, environment, thoughts, emotions, behaviours, dreams, and goals.  We experience struggles and challenges which we learn to live through it, adapting and evolving as time goes on. Every thought and feeling you have affects the level of serotonin in your brain. Serotonin is your feel-good brain chemical.

It’s important to remember that you are never alone, and help is available to assist you in overcoming any challenges you may be facing.

I can provide depression therapy in Wakefield, which provides a freeing process to help you cope and grow from your situation.

It’s very important that you feel comfortable and relaxed with your therapist and that is why I offer all new clients a free no-obligation telephone consultation.

I find that most of my clients are very keen to get started right away. If, however, you are not sure whether you wish to proceed at this point, then you are of course under no obligation to continue.

In my practice I support people who feel a wide range of emotions: fear, sadness, doubt, overwhelmed, trapped by self-criticism, negative perceptions and or disruptive patterns.

I have a particular interest in helping people reduce anxiety as well as people who are navigating what it means to be themselves in several areas of their life.

Whatever you’re struggling with, I’m here to help you.
